The proposed extension would help to address the growing demand for accommodation in Leicester Square. The additional 30 rooms would cater for short stays and provide convenient accommodation in the heart of the West End. 

 The current empty site detracts from the unity of the streetscape and is covered by a screen that is approximately 5-storeys high, the plans would sensitively improve this through a design matching the existing hotel .

 The project design has considered the Leicester Square Conservation Area's character and will match the same materials used on the existing hotel.
